Job Summary
The New Student Advisor is essential in supporting the transition and integration of new students into the institution. This role is responsible for creating, maintaining, and auditing systems and spreadsheets, providing direct student support, and coordinating various orientation and distribution activities. The advisor ensures accurate communication and assists with administrative tasks to enhance the student experience.
Roles and Responsibilities
Administrative and Logistical Support
- Spreadsheet and System Management
- Maintaining Google Spreadsheets for staff and faculty use.
- Auditing systems and spreadsheets for accuracy.
- Updating required spreadsheets to reflect accurate attendance.
- Distribution
- Support the distribution of new student materials.
Student Support and Engagement
- Communication and Assistance.
- Regularly reviewing and responding to email correspondence with students and staff.
- Assisting students with system navigation, password resets, orientation support, booking appointments, and signing up for makeup hours.
- Congrats calls to recently enrolled students.
- New student text and call reminders for students not in attendance during their first two weeks.
- Contacting students to complete required attendance and academic requirements.
- Completing required orientation calls and documenting orientation attendance.
Reporting and Compliance
- Auditing and Reporting
- Completing required audits in multiple systems to ensure accuracy.
Experience
- Administrative experience preferred
- Sales experience preferred
Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Proficient in Google Suite

Salary
- $48,000 Annually (Based on Education and Experience)
