About the Role
We’re seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Operations to lead the performance, growth, and culture of our company-owned Dogtopia locations. This leader will play a critical role in scaling operations, mentoring General Managers, and ensuring each location meets and exceeds its operational, financial, and customer experience goals. The VP will serve as a key member of our leadership team and a direct driver of business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence:
Drive consistent execution across all 12 locations, ensuring high standards in safety, service, cleanliness, staffing, and overall customer experience.
- Leadership Development:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of General Managers to become best-in-class operators. Champion a leadership pipeline that promotes from within and supports high-performing team cultures.
- Financial Management:
Own the P&L for all company-owned locations. Create, manage, and execute against annual budgets, revenue targets, and cost control initiatives to optimize profitability.
- Strategic Growth:
Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and team engagement. Partner with cross-functional teams to develop long-term growth strategies for the company-owned network.
- Performance Culture:
Establish a performance-driven culture with clear KPIs, scorecards, and accountability frameworks. Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with site leaders.
- Brand Representation:
Ensure that all locations consistently uphold Dogtopia brand standards, values, and operating procedures. Be a culture carrier.
- Collaboration:
Partner closely with HR, Marketing, Finance, and other teams to implement programs that strengthen recruitment, retention, customer loyalty, and operational systems.

$130000 - $150000

Requirements
- 8–10+ years of senior leadership experience in multi-unit retail, pet care, wellness, hospitality, or franchise environments
- Strong P&L ownership experience with a proven track record of driving unit-level profitability
- Demonstrated ability to lead and scale field teams in fast-paced, growth-oriented businesses
- A people-first leader who inspires, develops, and holds teams accountable
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Deep appreciation for customer service, team culture, and operational excellence
- Passion for pets and alignment with Dogtopia’s mission and values
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to visit sites and lead field-based initiatives
