The Surgery Center LLC (TSC) is a multi-specialty out patient center in Franklin, and is looking for a full-time RN for our Preadmissions department. Ideal candidate will have med/surg background and Peri-operative experience. This position assesses, prepares, and educates patients before scheduled surgeries or procedures. This includes conducting health history reviews, reviewing necessary tests, and coordinating care to ensure patients are optimized and appropriate for surgery in an out- patient setting. This full-time position is Monday through Friday based on a 40-hour work week and does not require call, weekends or holiday shifts. Pre-Admissions nurse is responsible for gathering and documenting PHI from surgical candidates as well as providing clear instructions for the big day. Works closely with anesthesia, physicians, and physicians office staff to identify any risks and improve safety. Must be organized and able to multi-task. Qualifications and Experience: Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. License: Must hold a current Wisconsin State nursing license. Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 6 months of hire. Experience: Two years of med/surg nursing experience is preferred, ideally in an ambulatory surgery center. PACU experience highly desired. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: This position requires exceptional attention to detail and follow through skills. Must be able to: multitask, provide high quality service, act as a team player, build trust, and treat others with respect. Must have exceptional communication, organizational, memory, and timely decision-making skills. Must show empathy and patience and remain composed under pressure or during high volume times, as appropriate.
