🚀 The Role: Orthotics & Prosthetics Technician
This role supports the creation of custom orthotic and prosthetic devices by preparing materials, assisting with fabrication, maintaining equipment and inventory, and ensuring high-quality production within the fabrication lab. This role works closely with orthotists and prosthetists to deliver precise, well-crafted products that improve patients’ lives.
🔍 What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail for precise patient-related assessments
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
🛠 What You’ll Be Doing
Prep custom products for fabrication under the guidance of an orthotist or prosthetist
- Fabricate orthotic and prosthetic devices with supervision
- Requisition supplies for the O&P department based on demand
- Maintain inventory levels, including mins/maxes and cycle counts
- Perform weekly inspections and upkeep of fabrication machinery
- Keep accurate documentation and fabrication records
- Attend trainings, seminars, and in-house sessions to expand skills
- Clean, organize, and maintain the fabrication area daily
- Meet assigned productivity standards
- Travel to other locations when requested (home office may vary based on staffing needs)
- Complete additional duties as assigned
