Job Description The Business Systems Specialist supports the day-to-day operation, stability, and continuous improvement of core business systems, with Salesforce as the primary platform. This role owns operational system support, user requests, documentation, and recurring system updates, enabling the Senior Business Systems Administrator to focus on strategic initiatives, system architecture, and long-term platform scalability. The ideal candidate is a systems-oriented problem solver who enjoys hands-on execution, learning complex systems, and improving processes through clear documentation and consistent execution. Salesforce Administration & User Support Own and manage the User Action Request intake process, including report and dashboard questions, access and permissions, data quality issues, and user troubleshootingServe as first-line support for Salesforce issues escalated by business users and leadershipTroubleshoot broken automations, validation rules, workflows, and record-level issues impacting business operationsDevelop and maintain working knowledge of the Salesforce security model, custom objects, automations, integrations, and reporting logic to support QA/QC and data integrityRelease Support & Vendor Coordination Translate business needs into clear technical requirements for external Salesforce development partnersSupport pre-release testing and User Acceptance Testing in sandbox environmentsAssist with post-deployment validation, issue resolution, and release documentationTranslate technical changes into functional guidance for non-technical usersRecurring System Cycles & Operational Updates Support recurring system updates related to sales quota plans, reporting, user lifecycle changes(promotion/territory changes), and organizational updatesEnsure changes are implemented accurately, tested thoroughly, and communicated clearlyBusiness Systems Support Provide operational support for core business platforms, including Accounting Seed (accounting/ERP), SAP Concur (travel & expense), and ADP (HRIS).Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors to resolve issues and support system changesEscalate cross-system risks or systemic issues as appropriateBusiness Systems Documentation & Enablement Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal business systems documentation, including system overviews, process documentation, and troubleshooting guidesEnsure documentation remains accurate, accessible, and aligned with evolving system functionality
Basic Qualifications US Citizen with ability to pass a background check Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience Hands-on experience administering Salesforce in a production environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts to business usersStrong time management skills and ability to manage competing prioritiesDemonstrated ability to learn and support new SaaS platforms quickly
