About this position

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB.

This is a working leader role, directly involved in manufacturing / design work of the existing engineering team. The Team Leader will be empowered and accountable to ensure the engineering processes and procedures are being followed through his (her) group. These include but are not limited to Design and Manufacturing engineering processes as spelled out by our ISO system. The Team Lead is responsible for managing new CNC program creation, early supplier involvement (ESI) on new designs, and quoting assistance.  They will also provide timely support of manufacturing and new product development team members, creation of applicable work flow and instructions. The Team Lead is accountable to ensure the project timelines within their scope of responsibility are met. The Engineering Team Lead seeks out “best in class” manufacturing and assembly practices as well as emerging technologies. This position defines, justifies, and implements these practices and technologies when approved.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

 Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Lead a team of mfg engineers providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.

• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.

• Hands on approach to learning and teaching others

 Technical Excellence

• Directs all design reviews for new product introduction (NPI).

• Directs all prototyping activities to support the design and development of new products.

• Defines new manufacturing and assembly processes.

• Directs the “Early Supplier Involvement” (ESI) process as it relates to Specials.

• Oversight of Engineering Change Requests (ECR) process as it relates to Parlec Manufacturing processes.

• Provide direct and indirect support to customers during contract review, production of products and after sales support.

• Ability to program CNC Centers using MasterCam

• Ability to create engineering drawings in Inventor and CAD software

• Other projects as assigned to achieve Parlec Critical Success Factors.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• High level of analytical and problem solving ability

• Good verbal and written technical communication skills.

• High level of interpersonal skill to work effectively with others.

• Thorough knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes

• Proficient in design & manufacturing engineering skills

• Proficient in cost estimating

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 6+ years experience in a related field. Certifications from industry recognized organizations preferred. MasterCam and Inventor CAD software experience preferred.


Salary Information

$95000.0 - $105000.0 Annual Salary
