Position Overview:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall effectiveness of the mechanical & instrument/electrical maintenance functions for the plant.
What you will be doing:
- Assist in ensuring equipment reliability by following good maintenance practices in repairs, inspections, preventive & predictive maintenance, as well as following the appropriate standards for new equipment installation.
- Maintain an up-to-date plan for continuous improvements.
- Participate in both Eco and Management sponsored teams.
- Submit & manage yearly departmental budgets.
- Provide long-term directions to the maintenance department.
- Ensure all work is performed to comply with all applicable standards (OSHA 1910.119, RMP, etc.).
- Lead plant projects as assigned.
- Actively support and communicate the EcoServices Principles for Managing Behavioral and Operational Safety.
- Actively support and promote continuous improving performance standards.
- Develop subordinates and mentor engineers.
- Support Management Team initiates and helps drive changes.
- Provide leadership for rotating duty programs, Supervisor Safety Meetings etc.
- Responsible for the overall HS&E performance for the Maintenance department.
- Responsible for compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to & administer the Supervisor’s Performance Standards.
- Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring that all maintenance employees are properly trained in all assets of the Hammond plant’s activities (HAZWOPER, Skills certifications, process overview, etc.).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S. Engineering) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10 or more years of maintenance and/or plant engineering experience.
- Must be knowledgeable on industrial maintenance best practices.
- Must be knowledgeable in basic accounting & budgeting fundamentals.
- Must be able to perform mathematical calculations.
- Must be proficient with all applicable computer systems (MS Office, SAP, etc.).
- Must be proficient with OSHA safety regulations.
