Part-Time | Monday–Friday | 1:30 PM–6:30 PM (School Year) and Full-Time (Summer)

As our Assistant Director, you won’t just help run enrichment programs, you’ll help create unforgettable experiences.
From STEM challenges to cultural arts, from sports to social-emotional learning, you’ll help shape what our youth experience each day.
What You’ll Do
Lead & Inspire
- Mentor Youth Development Professionals (YDPs) through weekly one-on-one planning sessions
- Serve as a role model for your cohort and support new staff with positive coaching
- Create a welcoming, encouraging environment where youth feel seen, supported, and valued
Build Amazing Experiences
- Approve and coach the team on engaging, age-appropriate activities across multiple program areas
- Ensure high-quality, exciting programs that keep kids wanting to come back
- Keep our Club safe, clean, and buzzing with positive energy
Help Our Youth Thrive
- Promote participation and engagement
- Provide guidance, support, and consistent expectations
- Foster a fun, structured environment where all members can grow and succeed
Keep Things Running Smoothly
- Attend weekly staff meetings to collaborate and strengthen teamwork
- Monitor safety in all program areas and maintain a positive, productive environment
- Create weekly supply lists (Walmart Pickup or Amazon) to keep activities stocked and exciting
- Upload daily Food Service Documentation
- Step in to support other sites if needed
- Take charge when the Site Director is off-site
- And perform “all other fun and important duties” as assigned!

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This is important to set expectations for the role, such as:
- Ability to stand for long periods, engage in physical activities, and lift objects up to 10 lbs
- Working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Need for reliable transportation between different site placements
All BGCNWS staff are required to pass a background check, have a HS diploma or GED, and 18+ years old.
