POSITION PURPOSE
-
Institutes, monitors and reports on quality regulatory requirements. Ensures quality submission of data in specified registries, data depositories and payor files.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

Associate Degree in: Nursing

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1 to 2 years

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

Familiar with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet Usage

Knowledge of Quality Measure abstracting specifications preferred.

Previous clinical experience required.

Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and physicians.

Able to work independently.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
-
Works collaboratively with senior management and other healthcare team members to monitor compliance with the Quality Measures, payors, regulatory bodies, and other registries.

Employs principles of performance improvement, as outlined in System-wide Performance Improvement Plan, and identify areas of improvement.

Subject matter expert for best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, payor, and regulatory guidelines.

Ensures quality submission of data in specified registries, data depositories, and payor files, maintaining a high accuracy threshold.

Analyzes data, both on an aggregate and patient level as needed, to identify trends and patterns.
