Registered Nurse Quality Measurement Specialist

  • POSITION PURPOSE
    • Institutes, monitors and reports on quality regulatory requirements. Ensures quality submission of data in specified registries, data depositories and payor files.
  • MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
    • Associate Degree in: Nursing
  • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
    • 1 to 2 years
  • LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
    • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin.
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
    • Familiar with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet Usage
    • Knowledge of Quality Measure abstracting specifications preferred.
    • Previous clinical experience required.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with hospital staff and physicians.
    • Able to work independently.
  • PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
    • Works collaboratively with senior management and other healthcare team members to monitor compliance with the Quality Measures, payors, regulatory bodies, and other registries.
    • Employs principles of performance improvement, as outlined in System-wide Performance Improvement Plan, and identify areas of improvement.
    • Subject matter expert for best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, payor, and regulatory guidelines.
    • Ensures quality submission of data in specified registries, data depositories, and payor files, maintaining a high accuracy threshold.
    • Analyzes data, both on an aggregate and patient level as needed, to identify trends and patterns.
