About this position
The Facilities Manager for the DeKalb Campus is responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and facility readiness of Change Church’s central campus. This role ensures that the DeKalb Campus remains clean, safe, and fully operational to support Sunday services, midweek activities, and special events. The Facilities Manager provides hands-on supervision, actively participates in maintenance work, and collaborates with central operations to ensure alignment and excellence across all facilities processes.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Serve in excellence by being early and prepared for all scheduled meetings.

Leadership and Oversight
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Lead Facilities Tech and teams to ensure excellence in their respective areas.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to support the church’s goals for facilities management.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the facilities and operations teams.
Facilities Management
- Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and overall functionality of all church facilities and properties.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety, health, and accessibility standards.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for efficient and effective facilities management.
Sunday Services and Special Events Support
- Coordinate all operational logistics for Sunday services, including parking lot operations, shuttle services, cleaning schedules, and facility readiness.
- Oversee setup and breakdown processes for services, meetings, and special events, ensuring smooth transitions and excellence in execution.
- Collaborate with ministry leaders and event organizers to align facility operations with the church’s mission and event objectives.
Project Management
- Plan and execute facility-related projects, including renovations, upgrades, and new installations.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and milestones, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and within budget.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships to secure cost-effective, high-quality outcomes.
Budget and Resource Management
- Develop and manage the annual facilities budget, prioritizing cost-effective operations and stewardship of resources.
- Monitor expenditures and provide regular updates to church leadership on budget performance and resource utilization.
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including fire codes, accessibility requirements, and health and safety standards.
- Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans, including evacuation procedures and safety training.
- Conduct regular drills and inspections to maintain a secure and safe environment.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Pay Transparency: At Change Church we value transparency in compensation. Depending on relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and work location the target annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $80,000. Comprehensive benefits also includes but are not limited to medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA and 401(k).
