Aircraft Mechanic A&P Needed at CXO MX, Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport

We are looking for a part-time contract Aircraft Mechanic A&P to work at the Conroe-North Houston Regional Airport 10-30 hours per week. Our focus is on ensuring the safety and reliability of a range of general aviation piston aircraft.

Role Overview:

In this role as an Airframe and Powerplant Technician, you'll be responsible for high-quality and efficient maintenance on various piston aircraft, requiring hands-on experience in both maintenance and inspections.

Key Requirements:

• General Aviation Knowledge: In-depth understanding of general aviation fixed-wing aircraft.
• Maintenance Expertise: Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures and record-keeping.
• Professional Attributes: Excellent work ethic, organizational skills, and a drive to provide outstanding service to aircraft owners.

Responsibilities:

• Review maintenance records and conduct aircraft research.
• Perform visual and mechanical inspections of aircraft.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks.
• Prepare and review equipment lists.
• Assist sales reps with aircraft maintenance assessments.
• Maintain a safe and organized workspace.
• Provide regular updates on the maintenance status of aircraft.

Qualifications:

• Certified A&P Mechanic.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Preferred Skills (Not Required):

• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with different aircraft models and avionics.
• Familiarity with Aviation Maintenance Software.

Work Hours and Compensation:

• Expectations are 10-30 hours per week depending on workload.
