About this position
Busy ophthalmology office looking for a billing specialist/supervisor. Duties include, managing incoming and outgoing payments for medical treatment. Answering phones, communicating with patients about their outstanding balance and handling the administrative responsibilities of billing insurance and processing payments. Review and interpret patient charts to ensure proper CPT and ICD-10 codes are billed. Investigate system errors and pursue information about denied claims to collect payments on a quick timeline. Supervising billing personnel. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, strong computer skills, experience in medical billing.
