Summary of Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse PRN to join our team at Chapters Living. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents, assessing their health needs, and developing and implementing care plans to meet those needs.
Job Duties:
- Assess residents' health needs, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate their effectiveness
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Provide wound care, catheter care, and other nursing interventions as necessary
- Monitor and document residents' vital signs and medical history
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care
- Educate residents and their families on health and wellness topics and disease management
- Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training and professional development activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a registered nurse in a healthcare setting
- Experience working in assisted living or long-term care is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
