Description:

Responsible for performing various duties within the Production Department, primarily including hand assembly and woodworking.

I. Training & Experience

Industrial or manufacturing experience preferred. Individual must be at least 18 years of age and be able to read a ruler. Experience using power tools; saw drills, etc.


II. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities/Essential Functions

  • Ability to perform a variety of work tasks with acceptable quality and productivity rates.
  • Ability to operate industrial equipment, i.e., bindery, packaging, or woodworking machinery.
  • Ability to read a ruler – accurately measure
  • Responsibility for personal product quality assurance, final inspection and packaging as required.
  • Basic understanding of equipment in order to identify proper functioning.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Ability to keep production records as required.
  • Quality – know, understand and follow quality control procedures – complete quality inspections – notify supervisor/lead of any non-conformances.
  • Authority/responsibility to stop production due to quality issue.


Requirements:
  • Ability to produce at required rate and quality of assigned job.
  • Ability to operate production electrical/motor driven equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to perform quality inspection according to ODC's and/or customer's requirements.
  • Physical stamina to operate effectively within a continuously changing production area.
  • Mobility to access assigned production areas.
  • Bending, squatting, twisting, reaching, standing, sitting, walking frequently required.
  • Lifting 25 – 40 lbs frequently – up to 60 pounds occasionally
