Position Summary:
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food in a fast-paced kitchen environment while following recipes, portion standards, and food safety guidelines. This role supports the kitchen team in delivering excellent meals consistently and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
- Ensure food is cooked properly and presented well
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management
- Assist with food prep, inventory, and restocking as needed
- Work efficiently during peak service hours
Schedule & Environment:
- Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Fast-paced restaurant kitchen
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen or cooking experience preferred (but not always required)
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Attention to detail and consistency
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
