Job Description:
The Cook prepares and presents high-quality food according to restaurant standards. This role coordinates with other kitchen staff, manages multiple orders, and ensures proper food handling and sanitation.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items for breakfast, lunch, or dinner service
- Follow recipes and adjust cooking times as needed
- Maintain quality, portion control, and presentation of dishes
- Coordinate timing with servers and other kitchen staff
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations
- Comply with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist with training and supervising kitchen staff as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cook or chef in a commercial kitchen
- Ability to work all stations and prepare a variety of dishes
- Knowledge of food safety and culinary techniques
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
