QUALITY ASSURANCE COORDINATOR
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
Pay rate: $23/hour

We are searching for a detail-oriented and thorough Quality Assurance Coordinator to support our residential and community-based services in Maine. This position will be largely based out of our administrative office in Westbrook, with some travel to our locations between Biddeford and Waterville. JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for assisting with planning, coordinating, and implementing the quality management and quality improvement programs for Creative Works. This position monitors and aids quality assurance and compliance functions. This position provides consultation to ensure programs and services are implemented at the highest standards and participants receive the highest standards of support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist with implementing and evaluating a broad range of quality improvement/assurance projects; ensure participation and compliance.
Assist managers, supervisors, and teams in developing, implementing, and tracking quality improvement indicators; provide indicator data to manager/quality assurance committee to analyze performance, recommend planned targets, and monitor progress in accomplishing targets.
Make recommendations regarding opportunities for improvement; share opportunities for improvement, lessons learned, and best practices with managers.
Strive to deliver exceptional customer service to programs, departments, and employees always.
Participate in Incident Review and Medication Error Review Committees and generate regular reports as necessary.
Assist with development of periodic reports on QA activities, progress, best practices, and areas needing improvement.
Assist with review of CARF standards and updates as necessary to ensure CARF triennial review success.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct periodic quality assurance reviews of agency direct support documentation and report findings to supervisor.
Collaborate with supervisors and staff regarding quality standards of documentation.
Conduct documentation training for direct support staff as needed.
Conduct program quality assurance audits and report findings to supervisor as needed.
Enter and track reportable events, medication errors, and incident reports and present information to the Incident Review Committee.
Update participant demographics database as needed.
Collaborate with supervisor to administer and tabulate information for the annual participant and stakeholder satisfaction survey.
Collaborate with supervisor and human resources to compile required data for annual state audits.
PHYSICAL TOLERANCES:
Ability to do standing/sedentary tasks for long periods of time.
Ability to perform range of motion tasks, including but not limited to; reaching, bending, stretching, stooping, and lifting.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (all personnel are trained in correct lifting procedures.)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to speak, read, and write in English
Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
Satisfactory driving record per agency’s insurance company standards.
Degrees in related field a plus.
Team player.
Excellent communication skills, writing skills, and time management skills.

Experience supporting people with disabilities desired.
