KP is looking for an experienced Estimator. The Estimator is responsible for calculating unit and production costs from customer specifications and identifying the most cost-effective methods of production. This role works closely with internal teams and vendors to optimize efficiency, support sales growth, and ensure competitive pricing.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Cost Estimation & Analysis

  • Accurately calculate costs using customer specifications and technical expertise.
  • Understand and apply appropriate production methods and materials available within company facilities and vendor capabilities.

Production Standards & Optimization

  • Establish accurate production standards in collaboration with department heads and production staff.
  • Partner with team members and vendors to identify and develop the lowest cost methods of production.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to analyze cost and quality to support cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.

Technical & Customer Support

  • Provide technical information and support to Production, Program Management, and Sales regarding project estimating and product design.
  • Assist with the creation and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for estimating and related processes.

Process Improvement

  • Recommend and implement method efficiencies and process improvements to enhance accuracy, speed, and cost-effectiveness.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.


Requirements:

Education, Experience and Training (Knowledge):

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) plus 2 – 4 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in estimating, production planning, or cost analysis preferred.
  • 2+ years working with Microsoft Dynamics AX, Business Central or similar MRP systems. Experience with PrintVis a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong understanding of print, mail and fulfillment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and vendor capabilities.
