Role Summary

The Junior Quantitative Researcher is a temporary, full-time remote position with a pay rate of $38 – $45 per hour. This role provides technical support for survey research projects, including programming survey logic in enterprise-level tools, calculating sample sizes and margins of error, and performing basic statistical analysis to ensure all client data is accurate and actionable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Survey Programming: Build and test surveys in enterprise-level tools (e.g., Qualtrics) using skip logic, piping, and quotas.

  • Sampling & Math Fundamentals: Calculate required sample sizes and margins of error to ensure studies are statistically sound.

  • Quality Control: Perform rigorous quality checks on survey links and raw data exports to ensure accuracy.

  • Data Cleaning & Prep: Review raw survey data, remove low-quality responses, and prepare datasets for analysis in Google Sheets.

  • Statistical Analysis: Execute and interpret basic descriptive and inferential statistics (means, frequencies, T-tests, Chi-Squares).

  • Reporting Support: Help produce data tables and develop client presentations using Google Sheets and Google Slides.

  • Professional Communication: Interface with primary clients and internal teams with a high level of professionalism.

Experience & Competencies Profile

  • Survey Fundamentals: Understanding of data collection methods, including sampling plans and audience targeting.

  • Statistical Knowledge: Proficiency in calculating and interpreting basic statistics (mean, median, standard deviation) and understanding margin of error concepts.

  • Technical Tools: Experience with enterprise-level survey platforms. Strong proficiency in Google Sheets (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs).

  • Communication: Clear written and interpersonal skills; ability to explain basic data findings simply.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (Economics, Psychology, Statistics, Social Sciences, etc.).
