POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for supervision of all branch activities including but not limited to: lube & fuel drivers; warehouse personnel; loaned equipment (if managed at individual branch) warehousing operations; site management related to maintenance and compliance of health, safety, security, DOT and environmental regulations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manage Transportation Supervisors for fuel and lube departments
  2. Direct oversight of all hiring related to drivers, dispatchers & warehouse personnel
  3. Coordinate problem resolution and customer specific issues with sales staff
  4. Determine appropriate routing of product deliveries based on truck configuration, customer location, and weight, including after-hours routing and dispatching on an on-call basis
  5. Coordinate spill response, site mitigation, and related documentation with EHS&S Manager
  6. Inspect fleet and equipment on a regular basis and assist the Fleet Maintenance Manager with preventive maintenance and repair
  7. Oversee driver qualification at loading facilities
  8. Maintain open communication with sales staff and order desk, and work to resolve delivery-related exceptions
  9. Assist with review of new customer sites and set-up of equipment
  10. Ensure the health, safety, and security of driving personnel, transportation operations, and warehouse personnel
  11. Complete daily tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  12. Work cooperatively with co-workers and contribute to a productive and accommodating work environment through a spirit of teamwork
  13. Perform all reasonable work-related assignments as requested by manager
  14. Review KPI ratings and implement processes to continually exceed expectations 
  15. Assist sales with operational cost input on new & existing business opportunities   
  16. Must be on call 24/7
  17. Track usage & movement of site assigned trucks, shop equipment, monitors & tanks
  18. Must be able to interpret weekly / monthly operational and sales finance reports 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Qualified candidates would possess a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business administration / management or similar.
  2. 5+ years of industry experience with supervisory responsibilities
  3. Valid commercial driver license and a minimum of two years’ professional driving experience preferred
  4. Must have working knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
  5. Experience with hazardous materials, lube and fuel products dispatching  
  6. Must have working knowledge of warehousing and logistics procedures and policies
  7. Must have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  8. Must possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  9. Must possess excellent customer service skills, including telephone communication
  10. Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English at a high level
  11. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, GPS tracking system and tank monitoring systems. 
  12. Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions and to deal with problems and situations as they arise

$65000.0 - $75000.0 Annual Salary
