Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor for our client based in Deland, FL, 32723.Compensation:
The client offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $74,880 to $89,440, aligned with your experience, education, certifications, and skills. This reflects their commitment to attracting exceptional talent for this crucial role.Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Guide and communicate with team members regarding workflow, departmental tasks, and assignments.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to departmental procedures, quality assurance standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Training & Development: Act as a resource for team members, supporting training, competency programs, and professional growth.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency in the lab and implement best practices.
- Staff Management: Oversee hiring, promotions, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions in line with our client policies.
- Operational Oversight: Manage workload distribution and staffing plans, ensuring adequate coverage during absences, and assist with bench work as needed.
- Compliance & Safety: Actively participate in the lab's quality improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with safety policies and laboratory standards.
Qualifications:
- 6-8 years of experience as a Medical Technologist or Laboratory Supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
- FL Supervisor's license in Chemistry is required.
- ASCP or AAB certification as a Medical Technologist.
- Strong leadership skills with a preference for experience in leading lab teams.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- ASCP or AAB certification as a Medical Technologist.
- FL Supervisor's license.
- Willingness to work the night shift (5 PM - 3 AM).
