About the role
We are seeking a talented Credit Strategy Senior Analyst to join our fast-growing startup and play a key role in shaping our Credit and Collections strategies. This individual will be responsible for developing and optimizing credit strategies, conducting performance monitoring, and running simulations to drive continuous improvements that align with profitability and loss objectives.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Operations, Product, and Senior Leadership to ensure credit performance exceeds targets. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data analysis and manipulation, experience with analytical tools and technologies, and a proven ability to generate insights that lead to actionable recommendations for key stakeholders. This is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the Head of Credit.

Skills and Experience:
Need to have:
3+ years of experience in financial services in an analytical or quantitative role
3+years of experience with data mining and structure. Experience with relational databases and analytical tools such as SQL, Python, R or similar applications
Strong knowledge of analytical methodologies and problem solving skills
Attention to detail and numbers with a big picture view to quickly grasp and understand complex problems, impacts and concepts
Data: Strong SQL query skills (dont need DBA)
Microsoft or Google Office Suite (xls skills a must)
Business Intelligence Tool experience
Reporting and metric definition experience
Project management experience (requirements gathering and conversion)
Nice to have skills:
Statistical analysis
Data: Object oriented programming language (i.e. Python,C#,)
Portfolio Management experience (1st or 2nd line credit risk experience)
