Job Title: Systems Data Modeler II

Primary Location: USA – Ft. Meade, MD

Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/ Poly

Schedule: Full-time

Travel: There is no anticipated travel for this position.

 

Basic Qualifications:

An individual must meet the following criteria to be considered:

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Pass a background investigation.
  • Possess an active TS/SCI w/ Poly security clearance. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Systems, or Computer Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required (a Master’s degree may be substituted for two (2) years of overall experience)
  • Twelve (12) Years or more of experience in Systems Engineering and/or Software Engineering. Within the twelve (12) years’ of work experience, must have four (4) years as a Data Modeler or Data Architect; Can substitute five (5) years DM experience for degree.

Key Job Functions:

  • Conduct problem identification and requirement analysis.
  • Research and document process workflows and data flows. Maintains data maps and systems interrelationship diagrams for data domains and systems.
  • Projects long-range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers and stakeholders in the information systems function.
  • Design, development, and implementation of a database
  • Maintains database knowledge models and database knowledge model dictionaries, and monitors standards and data input procedures.
  • Create a consistent, well managed and well-integrated data warehouse which can store and retrieve large amounts of data.
  • Develop data warehouse requirements and efficiencies.
  • Responsible for the definition and governance of the data models, sets standard for how data is represented, research, document and implement process workflows and data flow. 
  • Research and document process workflows and data flows. Maintains data maps and systems interrelationship/integration diagrams for data domains and systems
  • Facilitate decision making meetings and analytic exchanges
  • Experience championing the usage of data in the corporate knowledge stores and communicates the benefits and return on investment for consumers, application and product owners.
