About this position

Job Purpose:
Responsible for assisting the shop in maintaining excellent customer service while providing our high standard product.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Act as second in command to the store manager by overseeing the entire operation of the restaurant; ensuring team morale, and restaurant ambience is upheld to Roburritos standards.
  • Confidently handles guest complaints, concerns, and service issues with grace; focuses on finding solutions and resolving issues quickly.
  • Handles all workers comp incidents.
  • Shares responsibility with management team to follow all opening and closing procedures.
  • Shares accountability of cost controls, in regards to food, beverage, and labor.
  • Shares admin duties including banking, cash handling policies and responsibilities.
  • Operates P.O.S. manager functions, ability to troubleshoot P.O.S.
  • Ensures proper food handling; responsible for troubleshooting, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment, F.I.F.O., thermometers, and temperature checklist.
  • Monitors restaurant equipment and ensures it is kept in good repair, if equipment breaks down , makes sure they are fixed in a timely manner.
  • Manages labor deployment in the restaurant to ensure hourly labor is with in parameters of set labor budget.
  • Monitors food waste, inventory, and resolves food quality issues.
  • Maintains and manages food cost within restaurant, if issues arise helps troubleshoot the problem and come up with a solution.
  • Assists GM with daily/weekly/monthly inventory.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to operate P.O.S. system.
  • Ability to understand basic email programs.
  • Ability to read and write simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with all restaurant employees and work as part of a team by helping others as needed or requested.
  • Ability to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other team members.
  • Ability to exhibit a cheerful, helpful, and positive attitude, provide exceptional customer service, and take a enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
  • Ability to adapt to changing customer volume levels with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to demonstrate a complete understanding of the menu.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb and/or balance; regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds; talk and hear.
