Role Description

The Manager of Payroll & Benefits will own the full employee lifecycle from an operational standpoint, including payroll processing, benefits administration and HRIS management. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in payroll systems, benefit administration and compliance regulations, along with exceptional detail orientation and a strong customer service orientation. Experience processing payroll in ADP Workforce Now is required.   This position works on-site in our Danvers, MA headquarters, 4 days/week.


Key duties and responsibilities, other duties may be assigned:


Payroll Operations

  • Own end-to-end payroll for 300 employees across multiple states, ensuring 100% accuracy and on-time delivery every cycle
  • Process and manage bi-weekly payroll through ADP in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations 
  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and company policies, proactively addressing complexities and serving as a trusted resource for employees regarding payroll questions
  • Maintain and audit payroll records, deductions, garnishments, bonuses, and PTO tracking.

Benefit Administration

  • Oversee the full benefits lifecycle
  • Partner with brokers and carriers to evaluate plan performance, negotiate renewals, and develop creative strategies to manage costs and maximize employee value; research alternative plans as appropriate
  • Facilitate implementation of new leave programs, benefits plans, and other related initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.

Human Resources Operations

  • Serve as the system owner and subject matter expert for ADP Workforce Now, across modules; optimizing system configuration to support business needs; build custom reports, dashboards and workflows
  • Drive data integrity across HR systems and collaborate cross-functionally across Finance, Operations and Compliance to build scalable processes
  • May assist HR leadership with staffing, recruiting, and departmental budgets.
  • May guide and/or assist with performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation processes.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree; HR certification or MBA preferred 
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience as an HRBP required; medical device industry preferred

Travel Requirements


  • This position requires up to10% of your work time to be dedicated to business travel

 

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and/or drive for extended periods.
  • Interaction with x-ray devices requires adherence to strict safety protocols, including the use of dose monitoring equipment.
  • Work environment may occasionally be very loud.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
