⚡ Build the Procurement Function for a Growing EPC Firm

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to establish and manage our in-house procurement operations supporting substation and power delivery projects.

Unlike traditional EPC firms, our organization has historically focused on Engineering and Construction. We are now strategically building out our internal procurement capabilities, and this role will be instrumental in developing supplier relationships, driving cost efficiencies, and ensuring material availability for critical infrastructure projects.

If you have experience sourcing and purchasing substation equipment and understand the urgency, complexity, and technical nature of our industry — we want to speak with you.

🔧 What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Manage procurement of substation and switchyard materials including:

    • Circuit breakers

    • Protective relays (SEL and similar manufacturers)

    • Arresters

    • Insulators

    • Conductor, wire, conduit

    • Control house and yard materials

  • Source materials from major OEMs and suppliers (GE, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL), ABB, and others)

  • Solicit quotes, evaluate bids, and negotiate pricing and delivery terms

  • Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to meet project schedules

  • Coordinate closely with Engineering and Construction teams to ensure material accuracy and timing

  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships

  • Monitor market pricing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities

  • Help build procurement processes and best practices from the ground up

🎯 What We’re Looking For

  • Direct experience procuring materials for:

    • Substations

    • Switchyards

    • Utility infrastructure

    • Power delivery projects

  • Strong knowledge of industry manufacturers and suppliers

  • Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings and material take-offs

  • Experience negotiating pricing and delivery schedules

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Self-starter capable of building structure in a growing department

  • Proficient with purchasing systems, ERP platforms, and Excel

Preferred:

  • Background in EPC environment

  • Experience supporting utility or high-voltage projects

  • Understanding of long-lead electrical equipment procurement challenges

  • Onsite position in Jupiter, Florida

  • Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
