Mechanical Inspector

About this position

SUMMARY: In this role, you will perform mechanical and visual inspections to ensure that every part, assembly, and system we produce meets strict quality and compliance standards. Your inspections will directly contribute to product reliability, customer satisfaction, and the company’s reputation for excellence.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Perform inspections of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
  • Use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
  • Perform visual workmanship inspection using microscope.
  • Record inspection results, document non-conformances, and support corrective action processes.
  • Work with engineering and production teams to address quality issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Conduct incoming, in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Use of precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).

 

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 

  • 3-5 years’ experience in mechanical inspection within manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or industrial equipment sectors.

$22.0 - $26.0 Hourly Wage
