Encorus Group is currently seeking a full-time Drafter I to join our team. This position is based out of our Springville, NY office, with the opportunity to work from our Depew, NY office following a successful 90-day onboarding period.
As a Drafter I, you will support our engineering and design staff by preparing drawings and documentation across multiple disciplines in a fast-paced consulting environment. Responsibilities:
- Perform drafting in multiple disciplines including electrical, structural, civil, mechanical, and fire protection under the direction of engineering and design staff
- Produce drawings in accordance with established company drafting standards to ensure consistency and quality
- Assist Project Managers with design concepts, drawings, and project documentation in line with client and corporate requirements
- Work independently on assigned project tasks and support larger integrated project teams
- Certify the accuracy and completeness of deliverables within assigned areas of responsibility
- Print, collate, and organize drawing packages for internal and client use
- Maintain organized project files and documentation
- Support other departments, including marketing and administrative staff, as needed
- Perform field measurements and assist with site visits when required
- Associate’s degree in a related field and/or a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in at least one CAD platform (AutoCAD, Revit, or Inventor required;
- Revit and/or Inventor strongly preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an integrated project team
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel locally and occasionally out of state for field assignments
- Ability to pass a criminal background check in accordance with client requirements
- Ability to comply with company drug screening policies, including pre- employment screening
