Job Title: Tire TechnicianReports To: Jimmy and Peggy CrumplerLocation: Fayetteville, NCEmployment Status: Full-TimeFLSA Status: Non-Exempt This position has typical work hours Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:300PM, evenings as needed Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tire Technician to join our team. A Tire Technician is responsible for mounting, dismounting, and balancing tires on heavy service, passenger, and light trucks. Employees in this position will be working outdoors on roadside calls as well as in the shop and must be focused on both safety and customer satisfaction. Essential Functions and Tasks:
Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:300PM, evenings as needed
Mount and dismount new/used and retreaded tires on heavy service equipment, passenger trucks and light duty trucksPerform tire maintenance on fleet trucksMaintain updated reports as needed on fleet accountsBalance tires utilizing appropriate equipmentCommunicate safety concerns, company vehicle issues and customer problems with service manager or store manager immediatelyMount and dismounting of new/used customer wheels from customer fleetsResponsible for various types of tire repairsExecute pre-designed service programs (Mounted Tire Program).Responsible for daily safety pre-trip inspections on service truckKeep service truck and service area clean to maintain a safe work environmentResponsible for following all safety regulations, processes and procedures required by Parrish Tire Company, TIA, OSHA and NCDOLUnderstand tire design and tread patternsMust be available 24 hours/day during scheduled on-call shiftAny other duties assigned by the store manager
Qualifications:2+ years of experience as a tire technicianClean driving recordValid NC driver’s licenseTIA Certification preferred

Required Physical Abilities:Physical requirements of this position may require a range of activities. These can include, but are not limited to:Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 50-150lbs regularly. Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of timeBending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position.Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities.Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time.This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely.
Work Environment:This position will require employees to work in certain weather conditions, such as heat, cold, as well as potentially confined spaces. Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:300PM, evenings as needed
