Position Overview: The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, optimizing financial processes, supporting strategic decision-making, and overseeing HR and payroll functions. This is a confidential position that requires a high level of integrity and discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight:
- Provide leadership in all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Monitor financial performance against established targets and make recommendations for improvement.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.
- Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and implement necessary changes in company procedures.
- Financial Strategy:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies that support the overall goals and objectives of the company.
- Internal Controls:
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls in line with HighGround’s standards and procedures, to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend enhancements internal control systems.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other reports as required by company leadership and HighGround.
- Budgeting:
- Lead the brand level budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop and manage budgets.
- Monitor budget performance and provide guidance for cost control.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and develop the finance team, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the department.
- Financial Technology:
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial systems and technologies to improve efficiency and data accuracy.
- Payroll:
- Manage payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Stay current with payroll regulations and implement necessary changes in payroll procedures.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure seamless integration between payroll and HR functions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience working in residential services strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple locations/brands.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
- Exceptional financial analysis and modeling skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%.
