About the Role
The Golf Operations Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our golf facility, ensuring an exceptional experience for all guests. This position is designed to provide hands-on experience in the hospitality, tourism, and recreation industry, particularly within the golf sector.
The intern will assist in various tasks, including customer service, event coordination, and facility management, contributing to the overall success of operations. By working closely with experienced staff, the intern will gain valuable insight into the business aspects of golf operations and the importance of maintaining high standards of service.
This role is intended to develop the intern’s skills and knowledge, preparing them for future opportunities in the hospitality and recreation fields.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Hospitality Management, Recreation, Sports Management, or a related field
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on customer service
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality or recreation industry
Familiarity with golf operations and terminology
Responsibilities
Assist in daily golf course operations, including managing tee times and customer check-ins
Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues
Support the planning and execution of golf events and tournaments, ensuring all logistics are handled efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the golf shop and surrounding areas to enhance the guest experience
Collaborate with team members to promote golf programs and services, contributing to overall sales and marketing efforts
