About this position
The custodian maintains a clean working environment for all staff and visitors, ensuring all areas are safe and secure. Custodial duties will include leased space. Ensures that the facility and all employee work and break areas are ready for public and or private occupancy on a daily basis. Monitors all supplies required to provide a professional work environment for staff and members of the credit union. Reports directly to the Manager of Facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
All cleaning duties are performed on a predetermined schedule provided by the Facilities Manager. Areas of responsibility include entry vestibules, lobby, offices, hallways, restrooms, kitchens, and storage work areas. The schedule will include but not be limited to daily attention to the following tasks:
- Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms. Cleans mirrors and keeps supplies fully stocked. Perform multiple bathroom checks throughout the workday.
- Cleans, mops, washes, buffs and vacuums floor and carpets.
- Empties trash.
- Maintains outside walk areas, including sweeping debris, washing the walkways and assist with snow removal for staff and public safety.
- Clean and dust furniture, counters, shelving and woodwork.
- Removes recycling materials.
- Cleans windows and glass throughout facility.
- Replenish kitchen supplies including coffee, tea, sugar, dish detergent, plates, plastic utensils, etc.
- Tracks inventory of supplies to include cleaning supplies, restroom supplies, paper products, trash liners, etc. and places orders with manager as necessary.
- Water plants in public areas.
- Maintain work and supply areas in clean and orderly condition.
- Report maintenance items to Facilities Manager immediately.
- Ensure that all secure areas of the facility are safe and report all security issues to Facilities Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Custodian must have a high school education or GED equivalent.
- Must be familiar with all aspects of cleaning, due to prior hands-on experience, to include handling of detergents, solvents, etc.
- Must possess a valid/clean driver's license.
- Must be able to work with little supervision.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 9:30am -2:30pm
