Senior Residential Solar Service Technician

5+ Year Experience Required

This role is not entry-level and not a training position. We’re hiring a proven residential solar service technician who can walk onto a jobsite, diagnose the problem quickly, and fix it right the first time.

$28 - $40 hourly DOE

• Advanced troubleshooting of residential PV systems (electrical, performance, monitoring, and mechanical)
• Identifying root causes — not just symptoms
• Inverter, optimizer, battery, and monitoring diagnostics
• Preventative maintenance and complex service calls
• Reading plans, schematics, and electrical diagrams without hand-holding
• Professional, confident communication with homeowners
• Clean documentation of work performed and resolutions

Required:

• 5+ years of residential solar service experience
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (AC & DC)
• Deep familiarity with common inverter and monitoring platforms
• Solid working knowledge of NEC and residential electrical systems
• Comfortable on rooftops, ladders, and in attics
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Takes ownership, shows up prepared, and finishes what they start

Preferred:

• NABCEP certification
• Battery storage experience
• Electrical license or journeyman background
• History of low callback rates and clean workmanship
