What will I be doing?

  • Preparing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns of varying complexities
  • Preparing quarterly and year-end estimates to assist clients with tax planning
  • Performing diversified accounting, auditing, and tax assignments under the direction of a manager or partner
  • Providing tax compliance and advisory services including analyzing business processes while identifying ways to automate processes and/or implement improved processes
  • Remaining informed of current tax developments and effectively applying tax knowledge and research to clients’ needs
  • Mentoring and serving as a technical resource to tax associates and interns
  • Identifying areas of specialization while continuously refining skills, knowledge, and expertise

What skills and knowledge should I have?

  • 2+ years of experience depending on relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Accounting, Finance, or Business).  
  • CPA license or demonstrated progress strongly preferred
  • A high degree of professionalism and ethical conduct
  • Experience preparing closely held businesses and pass-thru returns (S Corp and Partnership) and Not-for-Profit entities
  • Proficient accounting, analytical, and research skills along with a desire to continue to grow professionally

How will my performance be assessed?

  • Ability to visualize steps needed to complete projects including potential obstacles and how to overcome them
  • Ability to plan and manage a budget
  • Ability to meet agreed-upon deadlines with clients and supervisors
  • Technical knowledge and ability to identify relevant facts, research, and reach a conclusion or recommendation
  • Ability to present concisely and clearly communicate ideas both verbally and in writing. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate when appropriate
  • Ability to pay attention to detail, including developing expectations, resolving conflicting information, and self-checking work as it is done

$80000.0 - $95000.0 Annual Salary
