Looking to start a career in advanced manufacturing with no experience required? Columbus State Community College is recruiting for our WorkAdvance: Manufacturing & Production Training Program—an 8-week, hands-on pathway that prepares you for entry-level roles with real employer demand in Central Ohio.
Graduates are connected to local employers immediately after program completion.

Participants train for entry-level roles such as:
- Manufacturing / Production Technician
- Machine Operator Assistant
- Entry Process / Assembly Roles
- Maintenance & Facilities Support
What You’ll Learn
You’ll gain industry-ready skills in:
- Safe manufacturing & OSHA workplace practices
- Precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)Reading blueprints & following SOPs
- Quality control basics + documentation
- Lean processes & continuous improvement
- Professional communication & teamwork
Graduates are prepared to step into production roles across a wide range of manufacturing industries.
Program Benefits

No experience required. If you’re motivated, we’ll train you. Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalency. If you don't placement testing is available.

- Must be 18 years or older by program start date
- Ability to attend all evening classes (3x per week for 8 weeks)
- Interest in starting a career in manufacturing
