ABOUT US.

Lenawee Christian Ministries provides Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and wellness services to the Lenawee County community, centered around Jesus Christ. The ministry is made up of two operating entities: Lenawee Christian School and the Christian Family Centre, located in Adrian, MI.

• Lenawee Christian School exists in partnership with the family and church to integrate Biblical truth for life with a commitment to glorifying Jesus Christ through academic excellence and spiritual maturity.
• The Christian Family Centre is a world-class fitness and family activity facility that strives to assist families and individuals grow in their physical, social, and spiritual wellness with Jesus Christ being the center.

POSITION SUMMARY.

The Middle School Baseball Coach is responsible for leading and developing student-athletes in a Christ-centered environment that promotes athletic skill development, teamwork, character formation, and spiritual growth.

 This seasonal coaching role supports the mission of Lenawee Christian School by modeling servant leadership, fostering positive team culture, and ensuring safe and competitive participation in middle school athletics.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.

Athletic Leadership & Development

• Plan and conduct structured practices that develop foundational baseball skills appropriate to middle school athletes.
• Teach age-appropriate game strategies and promote competitive excellence consistent with school philosophy.
• Provide instruction in sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and character development.
• Foster a positive and unified team culture.

 Spiritual Formation

• Integrate biblical principles into coaching interactions and team development.
• Provide regular spiritual encouragement and Christ-centered mentorship to student-athletes.
• Model Christian character and servant leadership in all interactions.

 Student Supervision & Safety

• Ensure proper supervision of student-athletes at all practices, games, and team activities.
• Maintain compliance with school policies, athletic handbook guidelines, and league requirements.
• Promote player safety and proper use of equipment.
• Maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Report injuries, incidents, or behavioral concerns promptly and appropriately.

 Communication & Professional Conduct

• Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, officials, and other coaches.
• Represent Lenawee Christian School with integrity and professionalism at all times.
• Support the Athletic Director in upholding athletic department standards and expectations.
• Attend required coaches meetings and trainings as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS.

Christian Faith:

• Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
• Exhibit a consistent Christian testimony and adherence to biblical principles in personal and professional life.
• Demonstrate spiritual maturity, humility, and a strong commitment to excellence and servant leadership.
• Commit to live by the LCM Lifestyle Agreement & Statement of Faith.

 Experience & Credentials:

• Prior baseball coaching experience required, at Middle School age-level preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certification required (or ability to obtain prior to season start).
• Ability to supervise and mentor students in a structured athletic environment.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS.

• This is a seasonal, W-2 paid position compensated via honorarium for the defined athletic season.
• Employment is at-will and limited to the duration of the athletic season unless otherwise extended.
• Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with school policies, athletic department expectations, and ministry standards.
