Custodian

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking Custodian to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout our restaurant. This role is essential in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and staff by keeping dining areas, restrooms, kitchen spaces, and other common areas clean and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize dining areas, restrooms, and high-traffic guest areas regularly.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the restaurant.
• Empty trash cans and recycling bins, ensuring proper waste disposal.
• Maintain and restock restroom supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.).
• Assist with deep cleaning tasks, including scrubbing surfaces, dusting, and polishing furniture.
• Clean kitchen floors and ensure proper disposal of grease and food waste.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are stored properly and safely.
• Follow health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed (changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, etc.).
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management promptly.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Understanding of cleaning and sanitation standards in a restaurant setting.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs during shifts.
• Availability to work early morning or late evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Wage: $15 & up, depending on experience
