This at-will position is fully accountable for the strategic oversight and operations of the County’s centralized support services, encompassing facilities management, fleet operations, procurement, and park management. The Director will guide a multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality, cost-effective services that support all County agencies, departments, and special districts. Director General Services Agency is an at-will position which is exempt from the provisions of the Civil Service Ordinance.
 
 EDUCATION, TRAINING, and EXPERIENCE Comprehensive experience which has led to the acquisition of the required knowledge, skills and abilities. The required knowledge, skills and abilities can also be obtained by completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field with four (4) or more years of progressively responsible leadership and management experience including substantial program, line, and budgetary responsibility.   NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT<ul><li>Ability to obtain and maintain a valid California driver license;</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;</li><li>Demonstrated ability to effectively and dynamically lead teams to meet specific goals, both operational and strategic.</li></ul>DESIRED<ul><li id="isPasted">Extensive experience in a senior/executive management role for a large public sector organization or campus environment.</li><li>Experience leading teams of diverse stakeholders to meet specific goals, both operational and strategic;</li><li>Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.</li></ul>
