Billing Coordinator

What You’ll Do

  • Review service documentation to ensure billing accuracy and regulatory compliance
     
  • Prepare and submit claims to Medicaid, insurers, and government funding sources
     
  • Verify service units, coding, and reimbursement rates
     
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with program staff and providers
     
  • Maintain organized billing records, remittances, and invoices
     
  • Generate reports on accounts receivable, collections, and reimbursements
     
  • Support reconciliations, audits, and month-end/year-end close processes
     
  • Respond professionally to client and funder inquiries
     
  • Build strong working relationships across teams and funding partners
     

What You Bring

  • Knowledge of Medicaid and third-party funding guidelines
     
  • Experience with electronic billing systems and accounting software
     
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data
     
  • Exceptional attention to detail with complex billing documentation
     
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability
     
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach
     

Preferred:

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
     
  • Experience with billing software such as ZirMed
