The City of Minot is accepting applications for the position of Financial Clerk in the Finance Department, with an application deadline of Monday, March 16th 2026. This position is open to all qualified internal and external applicants.

Nature of Work
This is specialized clerical accounting and financial transactions work involving the preparation, maintenance and review of financial and/or related records and documents. Under general supervision, the employee is expected to complete daily work assignments with minimal direction, referring unusual problems or issues to the supervisor. This position has high interaction with the public and the employee should possess excellent communication skills and a willingness to assist citizens. Education, Experience, Other Requirements
- Graduation from high school and two years of experience in bookkeeping or a field related to financial transactions.
- Must be bondable and insurable.
- Must possess a valid North Dakota driver’s license.
Compensation and Benefits
- The assigned salary range for the position of Financial Clerk under the 2026 City of Minot Annual Pay Plan is a Grade 48, which is $19.95-$29.61 per hour or $41,492- $61,595 annually.
- This is a full time, FLSA Non-Exempt position eligible for overtime.
