We are looking to hire a new Corporate Accounting Manager! As our Corporate Accounting Manager, you will serve as the financial cornerstone of our local operations, ensuring total precision in reporting and analysis. This hands-on leadership role bridges the gap between plant performance and corporate strategy, driving the annual budget, providing high-level forecasting, and ensuring every financial milestone is met with unwavering accuracy.

What you'll do  

  • Prepare, maintain and ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS (as required)
  • Prepare and maintain financial budgets
  • Analyze data and inform management of significant changes in cost trends, material cost analysis, or customer profitability, which will result in bottom line improvements
  • Responsible for monthly financial closings
  • Prepare Balance Sheet GL account reconciliations monthly
  • Reconcile WIP, Storeroom, Accounts Payable, including accruals & Accounts Receivable details to general ledger account balances daily
  • Timely invoicing to customers and subsequent cost clearing
  • Ensure accuracy of time reporting and accounts payable entry by clerical staff
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and annual forecasts in conjunction with plant management 
  • Understand, prepare and analyze key financial metrics
  • Present and discuss key financial metrics to plant management
  • Maintain internal controls and compliance initiatives
  • Develops and prepares historical and analytical information to facilitate the annual budget preparation and presentation
  • Review aged inventory and present information to plant management and develop plans to reduce company liability
  • Prepare a wide variety of costing and budgeting reports and analyze information as necessary
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules
  • Direct, coordinate and supervise activities of assigned personnel and perform supervisory functions at level established by management
  • Assist plant management in determining and evaluating trends and variances in production
  • Prepare monthly cash flow and expenditure forecasts.
  • Produce ad hoc reports and queries for corporate and plant management
  • Manage 0-5 subordinates
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable local, state and federal laws
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Other duties as assigned  


 

What you’ll need 

  • Minimum four-year accounting degree as well as a minimum of five years’ experience in an industrial environment 
  • Candidate must have full experience with general accounting practices from preparation, maintenance, and oversight of financial statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations and general ledger. In addition, experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and knowledge, along with practical experience, with Microsoft Office Suite products is required
  • Knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) as well as some familiarity with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) 
  • Solid knowledge of internal control principles 
  • Strong financial analysis abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of corporate policies and compliance initiatives 
  • Demonstrated prior success in achieving results using team driven philosophies
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supporting corporate interest from remote site locations and ability to communicate and exercise very positive people skills
