Summary 

As a key figure in fostering customer relations and branch operations, the Assistant Branch Manager at INB, National Association, embodies leadership and commitment to service excellence. This role demands proficiency in managing daily branch activities, mentoring teller staff, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. The Assistant Branch Manager will not only oversee transactional operations but also take an active role in customer engagement, promoting INB’s financial products effectively and driving the sales goals of the branch. By maintaining operational integrity and providing strategic support to the Branch Manager, this position is pivotal in enhancing customer satisfaction and securing the branch's operational success.

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Customer Interaction and Service:

  • Provide outstanding service by managing difficult or emotional customer situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs, solicit feedback to improve service, and fulfill commitments.

Financial Products and Services:

  • Educate customers about INB’s financial products and recommend solutions that align with their needs.
  • Actively sell and refer products and services as part of the branch’s sales strategy.

Operational Support and Compliance:

  • Assist in teller drawer audits and manage reserve cash vault and supplies.
  • Oversee delegated responsibilities by providing support and assistance as needed to create accurate reporting of monthly Management Control Reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to all operational standards and regulatory compliance requirements.

Sales and Quality Referral Processes:

  • Identify cross-sell opportunities and assist teller staff in meeting their sales targets.
  • Participate in and direct the sales/referral activities of the branch to meet or exceed set goals.

Leadership and Staff Development:

  • Assist in conducting performance reviews, and coaching sessions, and provide training and development for teller staff.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model, fostering a supportive and professional work environment.

Branch Management Support:

  • Support the Branch Manager in overall branch supervision including staffing, scheduling, and problem resolution.
  • Ensure smooth branch operations in the manager’s absence, demonstrating leadership and decision-making capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • High school degree or equivalent required; higher education or professional certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of banking experience, with a focus on cash handling, sales, or customer service.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn banking software.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

 Supervisory Responsibilities   

Assists the Branch Manager in supervising branch staff in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Includes assisting with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of staff; interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Salary: $43,680-$47,000 annually, plus incentive. 

The estimated hiring range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
