About the Role:
The Lawn Crew Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating lawn care operations to ensure high-quality service delivery across various client properties. This position requires managing a team of lawn care technicians, scheduling daily tasks, and maintaining equipment to optimize productivity and safety. The Lawn Crew Lead is responsible for training crew members on best practices, safety protocols, and efficient use of tools and machinery. Additionally, the role involves direct interaction with clients to understand their landscaping needs and ensure satisfaction with the services provided. Ultimately, the Lawn Crew Lead ensures that all lawn maintenance activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Prior experience in lawn care, landscaping, or grounds maintenance.
- Leadership experience or strong ability to guide a small crew.
- Knowledge of lawn‑care best practices, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
- Valid driver’s license with ability to obtain chauffeur license.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in pesticide application or fertilizer use.
- Knowledge of local plant species, soil types, and sustainable landscaping practices.
- Experience with crew scheduling software or other operational management tools.
- First aid and CPR certification.
- Strong customer service experience in a landscaping or agricultural environment.

- Lead, train, and motivate crew members during daily lawn‑care and landscaping tasks.
- Assign work based on skill level, equipment availability, and daily priorities.
- Ensure crew follows all safety protocols and proper equipment usage.
- Enforce all company and OSHA safety standards (PPE, equipment handling, vehicle safety).
