About this position


Description:

· Collaborates with Dining Services Management team to ensure timely and quality delivery of services to residents, visitors, and guests.

· Assists in the selection, orientation, training, and retention of employees and staff in areas of responsibility.

· Updates and communicates job-flow changes of positions in areas of responsibility as applicable.

· Contributes to resident and customer satisfaction goals by providing quality services

· Follows HACCP guidelines when receiving, assembling and distributing food supplies to ensure quality and safety of food supply.

· Completes all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in the corporate policies and procedures on a timely basis, meeting all prescribed deadlines.

· Identifies and utilizes cleaning chemicals following directions recommended by manufacturers and per SDS sheets.

· Ensures all proper documentation, temperature checks, etc. occur in a timely manner and are properly recorded.

· Communicates any resident related problems/concerns to appropriate personnel, in a timely manner following departmental procedures.

· Interacts with Nursing to ensure residents' food needs are met.

· Exhibits pleasant and cheerful demeanor and maintains a helpful attitude towards employees, residents, and visitors.

· Visits residents on an assigned area and helps ensure that every resident is visited by a member of the management or professional team regularly.

· Adheres to facility confidentiality and residents' rights policy as outlined in the facility's HIPAA policies and procedures.

· Responds to utility failures following department guidelines and adheres to Lock-out/Tab-out policies where appropriate.

· Maintains a clean, sanitary working environment.

· Utilizes equipment in performing job functions according to department's safety procedures.

· Follows facility and departmental infection control policies and procedures.

· Follows the facility's protocols for Hazardous Materials and Waste Program.

· Adheres to Emergency Preparedness Program. Participates in disaster drills as appropriate.

· Complies with regulatory agency standards, including federal and state.

· Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.

· Participates and attends departmental meetings and staff development programs, as appropriate.

· Reads and complies with all policies and procedures of Morrison and Compass as appropriate.

· Performs other tasks as many be assigned.

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

· High school diploma or GED

· Minimum of 1-year related experience and/or training preferably in dining services

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lifting 35 to 50 pounds; Balancing; Climbing; Crawling; Crouching; Grasping; Kneeling; Pulling; Pushing; Repetitive movement; Standing; Stooping; Inside and outside environmental conditions; Chemical hazards.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Work may involve the use of automated information systems which may include keyboards, computer terminals, telephones, battery-operated devices, copying devices, etc. Work may also require effective verbal and written communication skills.



Salary Information

$21.00 - $22.00 Hourly Wage
