About this position
Job Scope Analyzes all NF settlements/claims. Reviews domestic customer downgrades, confirming issues with facilities & settling disputes. Advises marketing administration so changes are entered into SAI. Tracks all overseas claims, working with Singapore office, outside agents, overseas customers as well as U.S. Traders/suppliers to resolve issues. Work with Supervisor – Nonferrous Settlements to discuss downgrade/claims with consumer to understand situation. Help determine validity of downgrade with consumers, customers, shipping yard & brokerage supplier. Document all downgrades/claims based on shipping/brokerage supplier and by consumer/customers in order to provide Traders with information need to make best purchase/sale. Create reports/graphs as needed to document claims/settlements. Miscellaneous responsibilities as required Assist Supervisor Nonferrous Settlements with converter related work. Assist with tracking hedge position spreadsheet Prepares worksheets received from Traders & forwards to Marketing Admin for contract completion
This individual will assist the Supervisor – Nonferrous Settlements, Sr. Vice President Nonferrous Marketing and the Nonferrous Traders with account settlements, tracking claims, downgrades, completing reports.
Primary Responsibilities:
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or GED required; prefer college degree along with prior experience in scrap industry. Demonstrated ability to communicate with both internal and external customers in an appropriate manner. Proficient on all Microsoft programs including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint. Proficiency in Excel required.
