About this position

Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Assistance professional to support medication coordination, resident services, and compliance activities within our substance abuse behavioral health facility. This role plays a vital part in maintaining medication accountability, supporting residents’ non-clinical medical needs, and ensuring adherence to organizational and regulatory standards — without administering medications.The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and committed to supporting a structured, respectful, and recovery-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Medication & Documentation Support

    Assist with coordination and verification of medication counts in accordance with organizational policiesMaintain, organize, and update medication logs, inventory records, and verification documentationPromptly report discrepancies, variances, or documentation concerns to appropriate leadershipFacilitate communication between staff and authorized medical personnel regarding medication-related processesMonitor compliance with established medication handling and storage procedures (no medication administration)
Resident Services Support
    Serve as a liaison between residents, housing staff, and administrative leadership for non-clinical service needsSupport residents with scheduling, transportation coordination, and basic medical-related requests as assignedAssist with resident orientation to medication policies, procedures, and expectationsPromote a structured, respectful, and recovery-oriented living environmentCompliance & Quality AssuranceConduct routine reviews of housing and medication documentation for completeness and accuracySupport internal audits related to medication accountability and resident servicesAssist with preparation for inspections, licensing reviews, and accreditation surveysEnsure all required forms, logs, and records are maintained in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
Qualifications
    High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare or administrative training preferredExperience in behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, residential programs, or healthcare settings strongly preferredStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailAbility to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and facility policiesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary, recovery-focused environmentMust meet all New Jersey background check and clearance requirements

Salary range: $18 - $20
