This role is responsible for delivering nutritious, comforting, and clinically appropriate meals that support clients through the detoxification and early recovery process.
The ideal candidate is a calm, detail-oriented culinary professional who excels in a structured healthcare environment. You will play a key role in supporting our clients’ health by preparing balanced meals, managing dietary restrictions, and maintaining a safe, compliant kitchen aligned with state and facility standards.
This is an on-site, hands-on role based in Weatherford, TX.
Pay Range: $24–$28 per hour (based on experience)

Major Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Nutritious Meal Planning & Preparation
Plan and prepare balanced meals that support clients during medical detox, prioritizing hydration, nutrition, and comfortAdjust meals to meet individual dietary needs, allergies, and physician-approved meal modificationsEnsure all meals are prepared on schedule with quality and consistencyKitchen Operations & Safety
Maintain strict compliance with food-safety standards, health regulations, and facility policiesMaintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen at all timesImplement and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for food handling, preparation, storage, and sanitationInventory Management & Ordering
Monitor food inventory and place timely orders to ensure uninterrupted meal serviceTrack food usage, reduce waste, and maintain cost-efficient purchasing practicesEnsure all food is stored and rotated properly according to safety standardsCollaboration & Communication
Work closely with nursing and clinical staff to accommodate special diets, nutrition-related requests, and client health needsCommunicate meal schedules, ingredient changes, and dietary updates to the treatment teamSupport kitchen assistants or dietary aides (if applicable)Client-Centered Service
Provide a positive dining experience that promotes comfort, stability, and recoveryPrepare snacks and hydration options appropriate for detox clientsAssist with accommodating clients experiencing nausea or medical sensitivities during detoxSkills, Knowledge, and Qualifications
2–3 years of experience as a Chef or Cook (healthcare, residential, or treatment facility experience strongly preferred)Strong understanding of nutrition and dietary needs related to detox and early recoveryKnowledge of food-safety regulations and health-code requirementsServSafe certification (or ability to obtain)Ability to manage a kitchen independently and maintain a calm, professional environmentStrong communication, organization, and time-management skillsReliable, compassionate, and committed to client wellbeingJoin a Mission That Matters
