Job Title: General Manager – (FBO)
Location: Aero Center Felts Field, Spokane, WA
Reports To: Regional Director / Executive Leadership
Position Overview
Aero Centers is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead operations at our Spokane Aero Centers facility. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a passion for aviation, exceptional customer service skills, and a proven ability to drive operational excellence. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the FBO, including financial performance, team leadership, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership:
- Manage day-to-day operations including fueling, ground handling, hangar services, and concierge support
- Ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, and airport regulations
- Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency across all services
- Team Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise FBO staff including line service, customer service, and maintenance personnel
- Foster a positive, performance-driven culture focused on teamwork and accountability
- Conduct regular performance reviews and staff development initiatives
- Customer Experience:
- Ensure a premium experience for pilots, passengers, and crew
- Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally
- Build relationships with key clients, charter operators, and aviation partners
- Financial Oversight:
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
- Monitor revenue streams and control operational costs
- Identify opportunities for growth and service expansion
- Business Development:
- Promote Aero Centers’ services to local and national aviation communities
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to attract new business
- Represent Aero Centers at industry events and community functions
Qualifications
• 4 year college degree in Aviation or related study and/or equivalent professional
experience
• Must possess a valid driver's license. And pass background screening and airport screening.
• General knowledge of business management and accounting.
• Proficient with personal computers and Microsoft office products.
• Experience with X1 software a plus
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• High integrity/excellent critical thinking skills
• Candidate must thrive in an entrepreneurial and dynamic environment with a
demonstrated record of achievement
• Communicate with customers and employees in person, on phone, and through radio
communications
