Summary: This position is responsible for managing Sample Shop activities.
Essential Functions of the Job: The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following:
- Manage the Sample Shop schedule which includes maintaining open orders and organizing builds which provide Gantt chart transparency to the engineering team.
- Understand equipment capability and ensure functionality for sample builds/troubleshoot any equipment issues.
- Hold weekly meetings with our remote production facility to ensure parts are shipped in a timely fashion.
- Work closely with the engineering team to confirm sample requirements are understood and met.
- Ensure the Sample Shop equipment and area is organized and clean.
- Improve Sample Shop efficiency and flow.
- Lift or move up to 50 pounds when handling equipment or product.
- Use the following software programs when performing this job: Microsoft Word, Excel, SAP and internal EDM programs for data acquisition.
- Travel as required to support the Department.
- Assist in building prototypes as needed which can include the following: adding thermocouples to motor windings, winding production, stator production and motor assembly.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Recommended Education and/or Experience
Bachelors Degree in a related field; or minimum four years related experience; or combination of education and related experience.
Salary Information
$75000.0 - $85000.0
