Role Overview

Beehive Industries is looking for an energetic and driven technician to support the development of our assembly processes, build new engines in development assembly, apply instrumentation to hardware, and perform work scope within the test cell or and on the engines during test campaigns.  This role will partner with various engineering, supply chain, EHS and other functional departments daily to deliver high-quality products to our customers. 

 

What You’ll Do...

Following standard work instructions, install, align, connect, and fasten components together into sub-assemblies or one larger assembly Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, pneumatic equipment in the conduct of assembly processes in accordance with standard work instructions or equipment usage guidelinesOccasionally read blueprints and/or schematics to guide assembly actions or provide clarification on work contentConduct all activities safely and in compliance with all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies/procedures every day; Support all EHS initiatives through proactive hazard identification, program participation, and issue remediation – be an active member in concern resolution Wear all prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) daily or as needed for the directed task in compliance with site EHS requirementsInstall controlling and testing instrumentation on engine hardware in accordance with documented instructions or verbal instructions from an approved authority; Installed equipment could include thermal couples, pressure transducers, strain gauges, accelerometers, etc.Perform daily, weekly, and/or monthly maintenance on prescribed equipment to ensure availability or timely replacement of worn / non-functional itemsAs directed by appropriate leader, complete mechanical and/or electrical work scope on supporting equipment such as electrical cables, connecting pipes and fittings, terminating instrumentation, leading checkout procedures, build fixtures, specialized tooling, etc.Support the creation or improvement of assembly and/or test procedures for items within your area of expertise.  Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and/or instrumentation related issues, and support the development of work instructions for the taskUse specified measuring / inspecting equipment to ensure assembled items maintain strict compliance with design specificationUse prescribed computer software to display standard work instructions, drawings/ schematics/blueprints, and to track work progress on an item-by-item basisSupport other functions as directed to aid in the overall success of the businessProvide timely communications on significant issues or developments. Support root cause and corrective action plans based on learnings to drive process improvements and document best practicesEnsure appropriate and accurate timekeeping is captured on every task every dayAssure proper documentation of technical data generated consistent with engineering best practices

You have...

2-4 years of Mechanical and/or electrical assembly experience, preferably in a highly regulated industry (aerospace, automotive, medical, etc.)Strong understanding of assembly processes, standard Work Instruction adherence, hand-tool utilization, and lean manufacturingPassion for working in advanced technological and rapidly scaling environments, delivering results to please our customers every dayStrong oral and written communication abilitiesVery positive mindset, even under stressful situations, that translates into productive and respectful interpersonal interactions with peers, subordinates, and superiors alikeDemonstrated problem solving ability and task execution skillsA high degree of initiative and the ability to learn quickly through verbal instructions and hands-on experience The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Physical Requirements:

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $30.00-$35.00 an hour. Please note that wage information is a general guideline only, and we will consider factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market conditions when extending an offer.
